Research

Current Projects:

  • Code-switching and the developing bilingual (in development): This eye-tracking study will investigate the how children are able to process single-language and code-switched utterances, teasing apart whether grammatical structures impose processing costs for the developing child.
  • Offline vs. online tasks to investigate bilingual competence (in development): This mixed-methods study seeks to understand why offline tasks (e.g. acceptability judgment tasks) and online tasks (e.g. reaction time experiments) have both been used to investigate bilingual competence but can produce divergent results.
